Happy St. Patrick’s Day Fans!
OK, so I’m a day early, but I can’t help myself. I’m not Irish, but each year I pretend to be in hopes of getting a big wet one from someone! Ya know, the whole “Kiss me, I’m Irish” bit. It hasn’t worked for me yet, but this year I’m pretending to be 100% Irish, so I’m feeling extra lucky! I’ve also changed my name to Blizz O’ Prez, which should help.
And once I get my lucky Irish kiss, guess where I’m going to celebrate? I’m going to take my St. Patty’s Day sweetie pie to DQ to get us both a Mint Oreo® Blizzard treat. It’s green for St. Patty’s Day and my goodness it’s good. Oreo cookie pieces crumbled and tumbled with cool mint and creamy vanilla soft serve make for one sweet St. Patty’s Day treat.
So, whether you’re really Irish or just pretending like me, there’s no sweeter way to celebrate than with a Mint Oreo Blizzard treat. Unless you’re friends with a leprechaun, then that would be a sweet way to celebrate. Get to your local DQ for some minty-green goodness!

Hey Blizz fans,
I challenge you to a Blizz off! What’s that you ask? Well, I don’t actually know… I just made that up. But, there is this sweet thing that DQ is doing that’s not made up, it’s called the Blizzard 25th Challenge.
To honor our beloved Blizz on its 25th B-Day, the people over at DQ are taste-testing all 25 flavors on the new Blizzard Birthday menu. Each flavor is given a spoon rating to indicate which flavors are the best in each of the four categories: Cookie Lovers, Candy Cravers, Fruit Fans, and Chocoholics.

This past January, after the terrible earthquake in Haiti, we saw how truly caring people can be when others are in need. Many generous companies reached out to help in the relief efforts, one of which was Dairy Queen! There’s no wonder I love DQ so much!
Three family-owned DQ restaurants in Saint John, New Brunswick (that’s Canada) did a tremendous act by donating their combined profits from three hours in sales. All the money taken in from 4pm to 7pm that day was given to the Red Cross to aid in the relief effort. It’s pretty sweet that buying a tasty Blizz would go to such a good cause. What a win-win!

Hey fans,
Why is it that the Irish are always considered to be so lucky? You always hear, “it’s the luck of the Irish” (usually coming from the mouth of a little leprechaun). Well, this month you don’t have to be Irish to be lucky. Every day will be your lucky day because the Mint Oreo Blizzard treat is the Blizzard of the Month for March.
Oreo cookie pieces crumbled and tumbled with cool mint and creamy vanilla soft serve make this Blizz sweeter than finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow (OK… gold would be sweeter, but still). Better get to your local DQ and give one a try!

Hey fans,
The 25 flavors for 25 years Blizzard treat menu has been out for almost two months now. If you haven’t tried all 25, what are you waiting for? OK… I’ll cut you some slack, lucky for you the 25 flavors menu is here for the entire year!
Not that I’d ask you to pick just one, because I know that’s very difficult, but do you have a fave flave yet?
What’s that you say? What’s my fave? Oh, well thanks for asking! I would have to say it’s Double Fudge Cookie Dough…er, uhm… I mean Cappuccino Skor, no wait, it’s got to be Oreo CheeseQuake. You know what? I can’t make up my mind. I’ve got to say I love ‘em all!

Hey fans,
Unless you accidently joined the wrong fan club, I can assume that all of you are crazy about Blizzard treats (some of us more than others…cough-cough…umm…me). The Blizz has been a part of DQ culture for the past 25 years now and it has to be the best invention ever (sliced bread’s got nothing on the Blizz)! You probably didn’t know this, but in 1985, Americans bought a whopping 100 million Blizzard treats.
So, as we celebrate the Blizzard treat’s 25th Birthday, let’s take a look back on what tasty treat was on the DQ menu before the magnificent Blizz came along.
I dug through the HQ archives the other day (don’t tell anyone though, I’m kind of, not really allowed near there anymore) and I found a picture of this weird sundae called the Gooney Bird. All I have to say is, thank gosh for the inventor of the Blizz!
