Hey fans,
I got an email last week from a fellow Blizz lover that I thought I’d share…
My children, ages 12 and 14, were raised in the sunny state of Georgia and had gone to the same friendly DQ on Forsyth Road in Macon all of their lives — until we moved to Ohio in August 2008. Once they began to experience their first “real” winter, I didn’t expect many trips to the DQ, but even in the falling snow, they still wanted to go. So, we found ourselves joking about getting Blizzards in blizzards. Somehow, they taste as good in the Ohio cold as they do in the Georgia heat! -Anne

The 25th Blizzard Birthday celebration has officially begun with the release of the new 25 flavors menu and I couldn’t be happier! It’s still hard to believe how many amazing Blizzard treats are on this menu.
I mean, you could have a different flavor every hour for an entire day and you’d still end up with one more to try. Thankfully, all 25 Blizzard treats will be on the menu for the rest of the year!
As I look over the menu and try to figure out my Blizzard treat profile, I’m a little torn. At first I thought I was a Chocaholic, because two of my faves, Georgia Mud Fudge and Mocha Chip were under that category. But then I saw Strawberry CheeseQuake, which I totally love, and now I can’t decide. Am I a Chocoholic or a Fruit Fan? Maybe I’m a Chocolate-covered Fruit Fan!

Actually, now that I think about it, there’s no way you could be the world’s biggest, since that’s my title. So…do you think you’re the world’s second biggest Blizz fan?

Ahhh the ‘80s, an era of teased hair, parachute pants and of course the Blizzard treat. Things were different back then. But, one thing that hasn’t changed over the years is the “rad” taste of the Blizz (ya know, because in the ‘80s they said rad a lot…OK I’ll stop).
To pay homage to the ‘80s and the Blizz, here’s an old DQ Blizzard treat commercial from 1989. (Unfortunately, parachute pants didn’t make their way into this ad)
