The Cookie Jar is almost empty

If DQ needs any validation that a Blizzard treat is top notch, all they have to do is read Ken Hoffman’s column. The man loves his Blizz and he’s not shy about it.

With what he had to say about the Brownie Batter and the Midnight Truffle, it seems like the more sweet stuff DQ packs in, the more Ken loves it.

So it should come as no surprise that he loooooooves the September Blizzard of the Month, the OREO Cookie Jar Blizzard treat. See what he has to say here.

Is your mouth watering yet? Better hurry to your local DQ because tomorrow is the last day to calm your cookie cravings with this action packed Blizz.

Hey, has Ken ever steered you wrong?

Work is sweet for Carrie Miller!

DQ is a part of your community, because the people who work there are part of your community, too. I’ve gotten a lot of mail talking about cool DQ operators who make your Blizz trips extra sweet.

Check out this article on Carrie Miller - champion curler, Blizzard wizard and all around Dairy Queen! Thanks for your hard work, Carrie!

Fill me in fans, what’s special about the staff at your DQ?

From Ms Bliss to Ms Blizz

A couple months ago Ms. Marsha Bliss-Leighty volunteered to take on the role of Blizz VP. A large responsibility, as you know. But Ms. Bliss appears to be ready to take on the responsibility, because she just sent me this:

Okay, Ms. Prez.,

Your unofficial veep is back. I decided I had to try the Blizzard of the Month, the Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie Blizzard, and it was truly fantastic! I loved it.

Now, I wouldn’t say that if it weren’t true, or just to get on your good side. It truly was amazing. It made my mouth dance!! It was cool and minty with chunks of thin mint cookies all through it that gave it an awesome texture and taste. Even my dog loved it. He cried for more, but I wanted it all for myself because it was so good!! So that I didn’t feel too guilty, I told myself dogs shouldn’t have mint ice cream with cookies in it, no matter how good it is!

Now, I have another qualification for Vice President of the Blizzard Fan Club that I forgot to mention to you. I spent three years as a Girl Scout leader when my daughter was in scouting. We had many great times, and cookie season was always very busy and exciting! Of course, eating the cookies was always the best reward for all that hard work! But, adding this experience to my profile makes me even more qualified because I have had personal experience with all of the Girl Scout Cookie flavors!  There’s not one flavor I would turn down. They’re all so good! And all of that cookie experience can’t be matched by just anyone. Again, it’s a rare person that has all the skills and qualifications that I’ve brought to the table!

You know you need me as your Vice President!  And with the profile I’ve presented, skills unmatched by anyone else, very unique to be sure, I can definitely handle whatever work you send my way. Even my references will tell you I am an excellent catch! You’ll be amazed at the great things they have to say about me.

Well, I’ll look forward to hearing from you regarding this position. Please do not think I am being conceited. I am merely trying to point out to you that I have had some unusual experiences that could definitely benefit you. I would hate for you or the Blizzard Fan Club to miss out on a great Vice President since I have so much to offer.

Awaiting your reply,

Marsha Bliss

Well, Marsha, it seems that you’re pretty serious about this VP business. And I LOVE your review of the Thin Mint Blizz.

In fact, as the unofficial VP, I think the other fans would love to hear your opinion on the Cookie Jar Blizz. Send it in! I love hearing from you.
